Weekly News

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter and a relaxing break. The class theme will continue until SATS week with Kings and Queens being our topic focus. We had an amazing trip to Bradford Alhambra, last Thursday to watch the RSC production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. The staging, interpretation and humour was spectacular and the children were engrossed throughout. Their behaviour was outstanding and several members of the public passed compliments onto the staff regarding the wonderful attitudes of our pupils, so a HUGE well done to Eagles class for proudly representing our school. We are supporting this visit with work on the play in our English lessons and hope to explore performing our own playscript.

As we are in the final countdown to SATS week, our focus  will be around revising the different key elements we will need to be successful in May. Children will be undertaking various different boosters throughout the coming weeks, targeted where needed and we will aim to give all pupils as much encouragement and support a needed as the date approaches. Just a reminder that children have been given plenty of practice materials to work through and have been asked to manage the completion of these themselves, so Eagles don't leave them all to the last minute! Little and often is by far the best approach.
