This week in Starfish....

Posted 11/3/2016

This week in Starfish we have had a very exciting week, as a letter arrived from Mr Milly Wonka himself, setting us a challenge to help him with a problem. The challenge he has set us, is to carry out a fair test to find which material makes the best bag to keep his chocolate bars dry in the rain. We have been thinking about what he means by a ' fair test,' and what we need to do to achieve this.  We have also been investigating the properties of wood and writing a report on this.

On our faith days we have been finding out about Buddhism, and creating Lotus flowers using our collage skills. We have also been talking about the festival of Easter, and what we do to celebrate it.

In maths we have been making tally charts and converting this information in to bar charts.

Star writers this week are: Jacob and Rowan for trying very hard with their handwriting.

Later in the week we had our Faith Day and we studied Christianity. Throughout the day the children talked informatively about religious symbols, festivals and places of worship.
