20.06.17     SPORTS DAY

Well done to our Green team for their sports day win. And thankyou to all of our parents, grandparents and siblings who came to cheer everyone on.

16.06.17      MR BLOOM

Children's TV personality, Mr Bloom paid a visit to our school to encourage the children to get greenfingered and talk to the children about their gardening topic.  He started with an assembly where he played his banjo and a couple of his theme tunes and went on to introduce us to a few of his Veggies.  The whole school absolutely loved it, from our Reception children right up to our soon to be school leaver Year 6s, the teachers clapped along and got involved too.

He went on to spend a little time with each class and also the Eco-Council, asking them about Eco issues and offering gardening advice.  He signed a few books and thoroughly engaged the children all morning.  The whole thing was a huge success and was all made possible by the generosity of our Parents and Friends who funded the wonderful experience.  The children were buzzing and it was fabulous to see even the older children get so excited.

What a lovely afternoon we've had with our Starfish and Starfish Explorers. I don't think we could of had a more colourful day if we tried! Thank you  to everyone that donated their time, money and ideas - together we raised a whopping £611.10 for Barnardo's, and £327.09 towards school funds.

Many thanks to Parents and Friends for funding more playground lines - this time in Lions playground!

4.09.16 Message to parents

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 6th September.

As you are aware the school has had some building work completed over the summer.  Due to some unforeseen circumstances there is has been a delay in completing the work.  We are hopeful that the Lions classroom will be complete on Friday 9th September.  We have put a plan in place to ensure as little disruption as possible.  Lions children will access the school through the usual door  (pupils entrance) and all belongings will be kept on the pegs provided.  The children will be registered and then walked over to the hall where we will have a make shift classroom for the children. Please be aware that we are doing our very best to push the works along and want the best possible environment for our children.

Eagles children will now access their classroom through the side door, where they will be met by the staff. The children now have lockers to add their lunches and bags.

We would like to remind you to bring PE kits as they will need them for PE during the week.

After school clubs:

Sue Brierleys classes will all commence the week commencing Monday, 12th September. (Mon - Creative Dance, Tuesday - Art and Friday - Street Dance)
